Responsibility and Fault
It is our fault that there are too much blame and not enough responsibility
If you are responsible, you can give responsibiliy. Giving responsibility is to share responsibility, increasing it. Reduces the lack of responsibility.
If someone tries to pin blame on you, you can take responsibility or disclaim the responsibility. Sometimes, taking responsibility will avoid you being at fault. Sometimes disclaiming it makes it perfectly clear where the fault lies.
It is usually too much focus on blame and fault, and not enough focus on responsibility. If we just focused a bit more on responsibility, there could be less blame to go around — and less faults being made.
You are responsible for your life and your own feelings. But it isn’t your fault, there doesn’t need to be something wrong for you to take responsibility. The words and their meanings are quite different and just somewhat related.
Sometimes it is as easy as — it is your responsibility to ask for help.
“Even if it’s not your fault, it’s your responsibility” ― Sir Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky.
